Jagruthi Asvin, our esteemed District Chairman for 2024-25, born on October 14th to Srimati Manjula and Shree Praveen Raj, Jagruthi, a proud Libran, epitomizes charm, balance, and beauty. Her upbringing in Tirupur with her brother Vikram and her education at St. Josephs School molded her into a compassionate and social individual.

Jagruthis life took a beautiful turn when she married Asvin and joined a large, loving joint family. This nurturing environment bolstered her passion for community service. She actively participated in Mahila Mandal and Magalir Mandram, organizing educational trips for children and pilgrimages for senior citizens.

She used her exceptional organizational skills in managing exhibitions and fundraising programs, benefiting the community by constructing school libraries and girls toilets, sponsoring cataract surgeries, donating wheelchairs, providing kitchen appliances to old age homes, and installing mosquito nets for newborns in government hospitals. She also adopted and renovated a school.

As Chairman of Dakshin Bharath Gujarathi Mahilaa Samithi, Jagruthi supports womens initiatives and is actively involved in the Gujarathi matrimonial platform. She is a trustee for the Gujarathi Bhavans in Rameshwaram and Kanyakumari, established by her grandfather and father for Gujarathi pilgrims.

Jagruthi joined the Inner Wheel fold and extended her service through the Inner Wheel Club of Tirupur, passionately supporting Karunai Illam, a shelter for mentally and physically challenged children from BPL families. Mentored by PDC Meena Paul and PDC Chitra Vivek, she excelled in roles including CGR and chairing the successful District Rally – Dollar 2018.

Her journey in the District Executive Committee showcased her dedication and enthusiasm. She has attended South Zone Meets at Mysore, Chennai & Mahabalipuram. She has participated in the Triennial at Varanasi, she attended the PDC meet at Anand, Gujarath.

She attended the virtual IIW Jaipur Convention, the ICI at Aurangabad and the Installation function of Association President at Gwalior.

Now, as our District Chairman, Jagruthi Asvins leadership and commitment promise to leave a remarkable impact.

Her core strengths include her belief in prayer, punctuality, hospitality, and her friendly nature. With all these admirable qualities, Jagruthi Asvin, is a beacon of service and leadership.
