This year, the Inner Wheel Club of Calicut Central has taken on a deeply meaningful project — building a home for Bijeesh and Sindhu, an impoverished couple struggling with health and financial challenges. Bijeesh, a day labourer, and Sindhu, a domestic worker, were allotted 3 cents of land by the government. However, due to Bijeesh’s declining health, the couple is unable to fund the construction themselves.

With a deadline looming — the land will be reclaimed by the government if a house is not built by year-end — our club has stepped in to help turn their dream into a reality. Through collective effort and compassion, we are committed to building them a safe and dignified home.
